The loveseat or the floor....

Last night I decided that I would find somewhere comfortable to sleep. I started on the floor, moved into Hunter's room but then I climbed up on the loveseat. It was so nice and soft, the perfect bed. Only one small problem...well make that two, mom and dad don't like it when I climb on the furniture. They said furniture is for humans and I have my own pillow and blankets to lay on, which is true.

Today mom didn't come home at lunch and dad and I didn't have to shovel the walk. Dad did let me outside a bunch of times and I played in my new big backyard. Hunter came home today and played ball with me outside. You might think that a blind dog can't play fetch but I am really good at it. I start right next to Hunter and then I listen for the ball to hit the ground. If I can't find it right away Hunter help me by making noise by where the ball landed until I find it.

We played until dinner time and then back up the stairs. My bum leg is starting to feel stronger everyday. Like I said earlier I went up and down the stairs lots of times today and was able to climb up on the loveseat last night. Tonight I got a special treat that is making my leg feel even better, cheese and a baby asprin.

Asprin and exercise is what the doctor ordered and what my plan is for this week.

  1. Hi there Rhiannon -

This is Ryan Coleman -- Emily Hoover's boyfriend. I work at KPAX-TV here in town, and from time to time do news stories for them. I think a lot of people would be interested to hear about the challenges and rewards of adopting a dog with a disability... probably for all the same reasons why people are following this blog!!!

I would love to set something up with you, if you are willing. my cell is 406.880.0701, or email: ryan@kpax.com I think this is a very interesting experience, I hope you are willing to share!

    Thanks,
    -Ryan
